Vandring
A calcareous north-facing slope with a nutrient-rich spruce forest. The area consists of a north-facing slope with a stream at the foot of the slope. Several wet spots occur along the slope. The forest at Ryen consists largely of nutrient-rich spruce forest with patches of calcareous soil. The proportion of middle-aged and old aspen trees is high, and several signal species associated with old aspen trees have been observed. The area is rich in deadwood, and spruce trunks in various stages of decomposition provide a breeding ground for a rich moss flora, including Red List species.
