This ancient clapper bridge across babbling Austwick Beck is a photogenic little crossing on the byway leading to Crummack. It is set to the south east of mighty Ingleborough, arguably Yorkshire's most iconic peak.

There are quite a few fords and clapper bridges around the Dales in various spots - this one is rather picturesque, and a great place for a picnic, if you're so inclined!

If you choose to ride the bridge, be confident. Once you are on it there is very little room for a dab of your foot, and its a long way down to the beck below
