Mountainbiking
Despite its name, this is probably the most popular and well known section of the North Umpqua Trail, and with good reason. Much of this section runs close to the river and will take you by a number of stunning waterfalls. While the name may be off-putting at first it was actually given to the area over a century ago by two forest rangers who didn't like the idea of fighting forest fires in this terrain.
