This is a newly built church (mid 2000s) in Nanqiao New Town.
Its origins date back to 1811 when local believers pooled their funds to build a small church in Nanqiao. In 1878 a new, larger church was built. During the Cultural Revolution all services were halted.
In 2005, as part of the planning for Nanqiao New Town, the new church was planned and built, and the old church was finally demolished in 2009.
