Cykling

Withyham Station served the Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells Central Line which was closed in the Beeching Cuts in 1967. Funnily enough, Richard Beeching was resident nearby and is said to have frequently used the service.

The line and platform has since been converted into a cycle and footpath. The station house is now a private residence and if you look up, you can see its station sign attached to the wall.

This old station has been converted into a private home but you can still see the edge of the old platform running along the cycle path

You might not notice this as there’s not a lot left to distinguish it as an old railway station, other than the now overgrown, old platform on the south side of the Forest Way
