The Sanctuary on Mount Arcano was built by a Benedictine monastic community around the X-XI century. Tradition traces its construction to the time of the persecution of Decius, when Mount Arcano was the site of the massacre of many Christians.

A climb that requires a lot of training. 4 km all on asphalt, at 9% average gradient. The first ramp that leads to the start of the climb reaches up to 19%. The last 3 hairpin bends (700 m), are at 13% average. The effort for the climb is however rewarded by a breathtaking view
