In the city center, the building of the “Modern” electro-theater, which belonged to the entrepreneur E.V. Kislyakov, has been preserved.
The architectural forms of the main facade correspond to the late Art Nouveau.
The electro-theater opened in October 1915. Films were shown here, visiting artists and musicians performed with touring concerts, charity performances of the local amateur troupe were staged, the proceeds from which went to gifts for the active army, the organization of literacy schools for soldiers, and hot breakfasts for high school students.
