The Plaza del Obispo, translated as Bishop's Square, is a historic square in the heart of Málaga and represents a stunning example of the city's Baroque architecture. Its origins date back to Málaga's Moorish period, but its current Baroque design dates back to the 18th century, when the main façade of the Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace were completed. In the center of the square stands a striking marble basin fountain from 1785, from which water flows over a pineapple-shaped spout. It is a very popular photo opportunity.
