The fountain at the Bachkirche or Neumarktbrunnen is located between Bachkirche and Rathaus. This place was created only after the great fire in 1581. So it is not surprising that it was only in 1608 to a documentary mention of the octagonal well came. The well, built in 1798 with center stand, is still preserved in its original state.
