Great for a short stop. During our visit, the water surface was wonderfully quiet and the mountains have fabulously mirrored in the lake.

Vandring
Bow Lake is the headwaters of the Bow River, which flows south through the city of Calgary and then empties into the Oldman River and ultimately into Hudson Bay. The Icefields Parkway runs along the lake and is a good place to see the Crowfoot Glacier & Mountain and Mount Thompson.

While Lake Louise and Moraine Lake get all of the attention, Bow Lake is just as beautiful but somehow lesser known despite being right along the Icefields Parkway. This is a must stop viewpoint and if you can try to time a lunch or longer break here to enjoy the view for as long as possible.
