At the latest in Bulduri you should leave the train from Riga and walk from the station to the beach and then to Majori. In Bulduri you can admire many old villas and summer houses, partly built in Art Nouveau style. But also the new buildings are worth seeing, because in my opinion they are almost all tasteful.

Vandring
Bulduri is a historic district of Jūrmala, about 20 kilometers from Riga, and has an exciting history that dates back to the 16th century. The name is derived from Johann Buldrink (also called Buldering), who received the property in 1516 from the Livonian Order Master Wolter von Plettenberg. In the 19th century, Bulduri became a popular seaside resort - one of the first summer resort areas on the Gulf of Riga. By 1875, about 400 villas had already been built here, and soon after, the first railway station opened.
