One of the 11 medieval field watchtowers in the city of Quedlinburg. The field watchtowers were built around 1300 to guard the Quedlinburg fields.
The exact location and type of building are not known. It is also not known when the watchtower, known from a few entries in the Quedlinburg city council accounts, was demolished. The name is said to come from "lého", which means "burial mound". The site fell victim to sand mining on the Lehofsberg.

The red sandstone cliffs of the Lehof can be seen from afar. The way here is easy and if you leave your bike at the bottom of the path, then it is very worthwhile to climb the rock. However, I would do it on foot because, firstly, the climb is very steep, and secondly, the Lehof also offers great opportunities to slip and then fall down the vertical cliffs. So be careful!
The only drawbacks are the nearby motorway and the garbage, which is a sign of the Lehof's popularity as a destination.
