This alternative path to the main road (which is also quite quiet and unpaved) is a great example of one of the dozens of options you have here with your mountain bike. Roads are rarely a bad choice here. There are paths everywhere and everywhere in the area near Arusha and Moshi you will encounter people. On this path specifically shepherds with their flock. Beautiful cycling!
