Cykling

The main attraction is a 380 meters long concrete shelter able to house a military command train, the complex consists also of two additional large buildings. The shelter was build by the Germans during World War II for use during their war with the Soviet Union. Exposition shows various military memorabilia from the WWII era.

Usually open from 10am till the afternoon, check opening hours at bunkierkonewka.eu Warm clothes recommended!

Mountainbiking

The construction of shelters in Konewka and Jeleń was a result of the establishment of the seat of an important German command centre, Ober-Ost, in Spała in late 1939. Oberbefehlhaber der Ost – the Military Command in the East – covered the eastern territories of occupied Poland (General Government) and the territories of East Prussia bordering the lands occupied by the Soviet Union.
