Lower Saxony's oldest windmill was built in 1594 in Frankenfeld. In 1953 the district of Fallingbostel bought the building and donated it to the city of Rethem for its 600th birthday. There, the mill is still standing in the Londypark, on the Aller.

The park is freely accessible, is with the mill and some outbuildings as well as Skulturen and an adjacent miniature golf course a worthwhile goal.
