Pina Bausch's 1989 dance piece PALERMO PALERMO, created on a trip to Palermo and in co-production with the Teatro Biondo Stabile, Palermo, and Andres Neumann International, meets Andrea Buglisi from Palermo, who cultivates a unique, collage-like pop art style.
For this mural, the artist was inspired by a photograph by Berlin photographer Oliver Look and focused on two dancers: Ophelia Young and Tsai Yu Chin. Buglisi found both dancers particularly powerful and expressive in their dynamic movements.
