Have done it both ways ... definitely a grind uphill as it is the tail end of an already long climb. Excellent descent.

This section is climbing for a decent distance, the surfaces are a partly loose hardcore gravel type, you have to be fit to get up this initial hill climb. It is not easy. The winds can be apparent. To the sides of the track the drop is steep, make sure you ride safely.
