A very interesting archaeological area that stands on an ancient island in Lake Loppio. Known since the times of the ancient Romans, traces of settlements dating back to the 5th-6th century AD are visible today.
In 1438, the Venetian galleys passed through here in what military history remembers as an extraordinary feat of military strategy: "Galeas per Montes".
Many traces of the fortification that took place during the First World War, when the Alpine Battalion that occupied it renamed it Isola Clotilde.

The Isola di Sant'Andrea in Lake Loppio is a worthwhile destination for cyclists exploring the Vallagarina Valley. A footpath branches off from the cycle route between Passo San Giovanni and the village of Mori to the island. Visitors can expect to find archaeological sites on the island, including a medieval castrum, the remains of a Romanesque church, and relics from the First World War.
