Vandring
Ruinous remains of a castle from the 10th century ordered to be built by Gonzalo Fernández de Burgos and which in the following centuries belonged indistinctly to the crown of Castile or to the powerful lineage of the Lara family. It rises on the Picón de Lara, ruling the entire area and being recognizable by the remains of the lopped and decayed keep that still stands.

Ruins of Lara Castle. Easy climb with a couple of more technical sections. You have to cross an electric fence to access the castle, remember to close it before continuing. Stunning views of the Lara region from the castle.
