Today, only 5 towers and the lower city gate remain of the fortifications. However, with a little imagination, you can still get an idea of the medieval extent of the former city wall along the length of the city's former enclosure.
Right next to the city gate is the "Torschenke" inn, a family-run inn with an attached guesthouse.
