According to the latest research, the tower was built in the second half of the 13th century. As part of the reconstruction, the 13-14. In the 19th century, it was expanded with three more floors. For static reasons, its walls had to be reinforced with a new brick skin with internal steps. The top floor of the tower offers a unique view of most of Považia.

Vandring
The keep is one of the oldest buildings in the castle that is still standing. You absolutely have to climb it and look at the different floors. From the top you have an incomparable view of the city, the castle and the surrounding area in all directions.
