The Bristow Renaissance Church is the oldest and most beautiful Protestant village church in Mecklenburg. Its founder is Werner Hahn from Basedow. The simple chapel was completed during his lifetime. After Werner Hahn's death (1593), his son Hans Hahn began to convert and expand the chapel in 1597 and to build today's magnificent Renaissance church. He also made sure that the interior of the church was more magnificent and richer than originally intended by the donor. In 1601 the construction of the church was finally completed.

The Renaissance church was built in 1592, has survived all wars and is in top condition, thanks to funds from the monument protection agency and Dr. Oetker. It is also worth taking a look inside.
