In some places it used to be the custom to plant a tree on the occasion of a child's baptism. The municipality and the Großheirath-Buchenrod fruit and gardening association have revived this custom in recent years as part of the baptism alley. Großheirath parents have the opportunity to plant a tree on the cycle path from Großheirath to Rossach in memory of this special day.
The locations of the trees are recorded on this display board together with the name of the person being baptized and the day of the baptism.

The municipality of Großheirath and the Großheirath-Buchenrod Fruit and Horticultural Association revived the tradition of planting a tree on the day of a child's baptism in 2009 with this baptism avenue.
To commemorate a very special day, Großheirath parents were given the opportunity to plant such a tree along the cycle path from Großheirath to Rossach. Over the years, this beautiful avenue has grown into a beautiful avenue.
The display board shows the name of the child being baptized, the date of baptism, and the location of each tree.
