The church in the centre of the village of Sopronkövesd (Gissing) was built in 1806 by Count Ferenc Széchényi. The main altar, lined with Corinthian columns, dates from the 1810s and is neo-Romanesque. Next to it are the baroque statues of St. Ladislaus and St. Stephen.
