Located in the southwest of Umm Qais, this is where the 650-kilometer Jordan Trail begins. The easiest way to get here is to fly into Amman, take a shuttle from the airport to Amman's northern bus station (Tabarbour) and then proceed with private taxis and minibuses that might not run on a schedule. Before you start your adventure to the south, take a short detour north to the ruins of Gadara, an ancient Hellenistic city.
