Did you know? The Trakai Peninsula Castle, called the Great Castle, is located in Trakai, 0.1 km north of the beginning of Karaimų Street, at the end of Kęstučio Street, on the peninsula between Galvė and Bernardinai Lakes, Trakai Island and the Peninsula Castles Cultural Reserve. In the northern part of the promontory there is a tree-covered mountain called Sacrifice. On the western and south-western sides, the castle is separated from the city by a surviving defensive moat-fosa. In the territory of the castle there is a 19th century. fragments of a mid-planted park.
