Cykling

The Krötschenturm is located in the northwest and is part of the Zons city wall. It was used as a fortification, watchtower, prison, dungeon, storehouse or warehouse. Apparently, during the plague waves in Zons, people who were suffering from the plague lived in the tower to keep them away from the rest of the population.
This was to prevent further infections. The tower probably got its name from this difficult past. "Krötsch" means sickly.

A walk is absolutely worthwhile, the old town has something medieval about it. Every now and then you find a way without cars that makes it almost perfect. And otherwise the whole photos speak volumes.
