Arriving from Baldingen, I drove to the southern gravel road to the bottom of the Musital. On the opposite side of the Musital, a stream flows. I heard rushing water in the silence of the Musital. A slightly raised "platform" invites you to stop. It is beautiful to observe this mass of rocks and limestone. Almost unbelievable that it is real! As if I had traveled to another region of the world...

Musital is a limestone and marl quarry that was closed in 1997 after 25 years of mining by Holcim Switzerland AG. The special exposed structures can be admired here.
