    Built on an old mosque that was destroyed in 1368 and remodeled in the 17th century, it provides as a curious fact the change in the location of the church's bell tower in the last century, which was originally at the head of the building, to the feet of it, with the intention of improving the visibility of the nearby palace of the counts of Guadiana and its tower.
