Very easy to drive from here, as the Samba race downhill runs steadily down to the zoo. It leads over a bridge directly through the zoo, past the lion and tiger enclosure. You have a good opportunity to rest along the way at Burgholz station. Further information here: bahnhof-burgholz.de.

From here the samba trail starts in the direction of Wuppertal Zoo. The route leads across a bridge directly through the zoo. With a little luck you can watch tigers and lions. The track itself is very beautiful and from here it is almost completely downhill.

On the weekend you can park well in the parking lot of the company Stahlwille and comfortably roll down the samba street to the zoo. But remember: you have to go up again. (The tip is only for foreign visitors.) Wuppertaler go by bike to the track!)

The path also features remnants of its railway past, including old bridges and embankments, with information boards detailing its history.

What are the best parking options near Wuppertal-Cronenberg Station for accessing the Sambatrasse?

While general parking can be limited, a popular tip from visitors is to use the parking lot of the company Stahlwille on weekends. This provides a convenient and often available spot to start your journey down the Sambatrasse. Always check local signage for any restrictions or changes.

Is the Sambatrasse trail suitable for families with young children or those with strollers?

Yes, the Sambatrasse is highly recommended for families. Starting from Wuppertal-Cronenberg Station, the trail offers a predominantly downhill and gentle incline, making it very manageable for children and ideal for strollers. Its well-maintained surface ensures a smooth experience for everyone.

    Is the Sambatrasse trail dog-friendly?

Yes, the Sambatrasse is a popular spot for dog owners. Dogs are generally welcome on the trail, provided they are kept on a leash and owners clean up after them. It's a great route for a long walk with your canine companion, offering plenty of natural scenery.

Are there any cafes, pubs, or restaurants near Wuppertal-Cronenberg Station or along the Sambatrasse?

While Wuppertal-Cronenberg Station itself is primarily a trailhead, the district of Cronenberg offers various dining options within a short distance.
