The Leonhardskirche, after the main saint also Saint Leonhard, was built in 1219 as a late Romanesque basilica and later rebuilt in the Gothic style. It remained almost undamaged during the Second World War, is today a branch church of the Frankfurt Cathedral and serves as a parish church for the English-speaking Catholic community.
