The Electoral Post-Miles column was built in 1724 at the behest of the Saxon-Polish king, but eroded again after the separation of Eilenburg from Saxony in 1815, and rebuilt as a reminder in 2012.

A post mile post from the Electorate of Saxony, also known as a Saxon post mile post or just a post mile post, is a milestone that indicates distances and walking times to within an eighth of an hour. The Eilenburg post was erected in 1724 and was then lost.
Since 2012, one of the two post mile posts from Eilenburg has been showing travelers the way again at the roundabout at the Mühlgraben Bridge. It indicates the distances in stagecoach hours to Magdeburg, Leipzig and Carlsbad, among others.
