The Contis lighthouse is the only lighthouse in the Landes department. Commissioned in 1863, it stands 41.5 meters high 860 meters from the shore.

The lighthouse was painted with a double white and black stripe in 1937, so that it could be used for daytime navigation.

This lighthouse, which also serves as a radio relay, can be visited for 3 euros per person.

The Phare is worth a stop to enjoy the wide view over the pine forests and the sea. Several bike paths and trails lead to the lighthouse, more or less suitable depending on the bike.
