A boat trip in the Kirnitzsch Valley, more specifically on the Upper Lock near Hinterhermsdorf, is an experience where you glide silently through a narrow gorge, past fascinating rock formations like the Mountain Spirit and the Crocodile, which have been shaped by wind and water over millennia. The trip, which leads through Saxon Switzerland, combines hiking along an idyllic approach path (approximately 45 minutes from the Buchenparkhalle parking lot) with a roughly 20-minute boat ride and is promoted and recommended by the Saxon Switzerland Tourist Information at Sächsische Schweiz.de.
