The beautiful palm house stands away from the large crowds that crowd around the castle. Here you can admire many types of tropical plants and trees. Incidentally, it is the largest of its kind on mainland Europe.

The palm house is located on the site of the former Dutch botanical garden and was built in 1881/82 according to plans by Franz Xaver Segenschmid.
The 113 meter long palm house consists of a 28 meter high central pavilion and two side pavilions that are three meters lower. The three pavilions are connected by tunnel-like corridors and form three different climate zones - a cold house in the north, a "temperate" one in the middle pavilion and the tropical house in the south.
