The alpaca (Vicugna pacos) is a domesticated camelid from the South American Andes, primarily bred for its high-quality wool. There are two main types: the Huacaya alpaca, with its thick, curly fur, and the Suri alpaca, whose silky hair hangs in long strands.
Alpacas are social herding animals that thrive in groups. They feed primarily on grass and hay and have a three-part stomach that helps them digest their fiber-rich food efficiently. Their gentle and inquisitive nature also makes them popular as therapy animals.

This beautiful alpaca enclosure with mature trees is located in the Warmser district of Haselhorn, on the road to Kleinendorf and Sapelloh (Neitbauers Farm, Haselhorn 72). If you stop along the road, some alpacas will raise their heads and peer curiously at the fence. If you're lucky, they'll look directly into your camera. Want a photo? I'm always delighted by the sight of these lovable animals when I pass by here. A picture of peace.🍀😊
