When you sail through the Nordgeorgsfehn Canal, you get an impression of the typical East Frisian landscape.
The canal begins between dikes and sheep pastures in the unique inland marshland in the tidal area of the Jümme, continues through the geest ridge of the municipality of Uplengen and the moorland of the town of Wiesmoor, and finally flows into the Ems-Jade Canal in Marcardsmoor. From here, it is worth continuing towards Wilhelmshaven or towards Emden via Aurich.
The length of the Nordgeorgsfehn Canal from the Ems-Jade Canal to the Jümme is around 32 km.
