The "Archaeological Site of Geraki" is a beautiful, Byzantine ruined city in the spectacular setting of the Parnon Mountains.
Geraki Castle is smaller than Mystras, but at least as beautiful and with far fewer people 🙂
In the visitor center you can watch a short film about the history (English or Greek)
Admission is free.
Opening times:
daily 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Vandring
The castle of Geraki was built around 1250 by the Franks. The ruins on the 400m high hill are visible from far away. It is worth climbing to experience the gigantic size of the former fortress. The paintings in the chapels are relatively well preserved. The view is wonderful. Admission is free.
