The preserved grave inscription (lat. titulus) names the owner of the grave:

Roman grave inscriptions are always very formulaic and interspersed with numerous abbreviations, which the expert understood immediately. The translation is:
Gaius Spectatius Finitus erected the monument for himself and his father Gaius Spectatius Priscianus.
In nearby Celeia (Cilli, Celje) both had been duoviri, a kind of mayor.
