In the Middle Ages at the latest, there is evidence that there was a mill in the village.
The first figure can be found in a map from 1716:
Next to the prince-bishop's palace, instead of today's hotel, two wooden wheels drove a flour mill and a sawmill - the brook was a source of life for the rural economy, not only as a drive, but also for drinking and washing for people and cattle, for cooking, Watering, cooling, fishing and playing for the children.
