The Salagou dam is relatively recent (construction and impoundment between 1964 and 1971) and it regulates the flow of the Salagou River and creates a reservoir for irrigation. As with all bodies of water, the tourist interest is not to be neglected.

Dam created between 1964 and 1969, for main reason, the irrigation of agricultural lands as well as the limitation of the floods of the Hérault.
