At this point there is a wooden tower about five meters high with stairs and observation platform. You can mainly observe waterfowl here. You have a good view of a renatured piece of the Aare, which is called "Aare Island with Lagoon" and is a cantonal nature reserve. The tower, or rather its view, is definitely worth a short stop.

The six-meter-high wooden tower is located directly on the banks of the Aare River and offers a wonderful opportunity to observe the waterfowl and small animals of the nature reserve.
The island, which you can observe from the tower, was created during the Jura Water Correction Project in 1971-1972. It lies about 1.5 meters above the normal water level of the Aare River and is occasionally flooded during high water.
