The Holy Father has published a new document on the devotion to the Sacred Heart: "which will bring together the precious reflections ... and a long history that goes back to Sacred Scripture, in order to present to the whole Church today anew this devotion full of spiritual beauty. I believe that it will do us great good to reflect on the various aspects of the Lord's love that can illuminate the path of ecclesial renewal, but also have something meaningful to say to a world that seems to have lost its heart." (Pope Francis)

A beautiful church building inside and out. It can be visited.
A separate church building was first built in 1777 and was dedicated to St. Jacob the Elder. Ä. consecrated; The chapel stood where the Würmersheim town hall is today. After the Sacred Heart Church was rebuilt, the old chapel was converted into apartments in 1913 and later demolished. The altar, made in 1778 by the Rastatt carpenter Martin Eigler (1756–1806), was taken over into the new church and is located there as the right side altar.
