In 1668, the merchant Georg Vričonosa donated to the chapel an image of the Virgin Mary printed on paper from the studio of the printer Remondini from Bassano del Grappa in Italy. In 1695, when the church was burned down by Ottoman troops, the miraculous image remained intact. Since then, believers have attributed miraculous powers to this icon.
