    Schwanseebad er en traditionel udendørs- og indendørs swimmingpool i Weimar med generøse svømme- og ikke-svømmebassiner, et springtårn, vandområder samt yderligere fritidsaktiviteter som beachvolley og bordtennis. Udover den almindelige svømmeaktivitet tilbydes der forskellige svømme- og vandgymnastikkurser, saunaudbud samt sæsonbestemte åbningstider og arrangementer for sports- og fritidsgæster.

    I 2017 blev den komplette renovering af udendørsområdet påbegyndt med midler fra Den Europæiske Fond for Regionaludvikling (EFRE)👍. Anlægget ved Schwanseebad er en del af det fredede samlede ensemble „Asbach-Grünzug“. Dette havemonument fra modernismen er unikt i sin udformning og bevaringstilstand for Thüringen og derudover. Ved renoveringen af Schwanseebad er det derfor vigtigt at tage hensyn til særprægene ved et så betydningsfuldt monument.

    Og det har åbnet sine porte i ny skikkelse, hvor dejligt for Weimar og dets gæster. Godt gået!
