Chile Chico is one of many small towns on the border between Argentina and Chile. It also forms the junction between the Argentinian pampas and the Chilean mountains. It is influenced by Lake General Carrerra. Its climate is less rainy than elsewhere. It is even described as semi-arid. The clouds are chased here by the wind and held on the mountains. The town is pleasant. Its population of around 5,000 allows for a choice of restaurants and accommodation. We recover from many of the hazards of travel here.
