    Halfway up the trail to the summit of Vanderwhacker Mountain, you come across Vanderwhacker Cabin. The cabin is the remains of the old ranger's cabin. The cabin isn't in use any more today, but repairs have helped keep the structure from tumbling down. You can't go inside, but the site still serves as a good resting point.
