Vandring
A memorial that makes the tragic natural disaster of December 2004 unforgettable. The memorial stands on a mass grave under which more than 2,000 people, victims of the flood disaster, found their final resting place.
Not far from the monument is the Telwatte Tsunami Photo Museum.

A detour to Telwatte and a visit to this small, inconspicuous Photo Museum is highly recommended. The museum deals with the tragedy of December 2004 in a very factual and informative manner. Entry is free, and (if you wish) you can also get a very informative, clear and insightful guided tour. Very sensitive photos are hidden behind a curtain. If you like, you can leave a donation in the box at the end. I can only recommend the visit to everyone.
