Densetsu-no-Ōike is a small mountain lake in the sub-alpine highland of Ōike Kōgen in Ōshika Village, in Southern Nagano Prefecture, on of the most beautiful villages in Japan. There is small hiking course, a campsite, an adventure playground and a cafe and restaurant with a magnificent view of the Central Alps and the Ina Basin close by. The food at Hakko Ooshika is excellent, but they only open from Friday to Monday 11:00 to 16:00 during the green season, and are closing from December through March.
