Mountainbiking
As an alternative to a day at the beach, perhaps by bike, the visit is worthwhile just for the excellent 360° view. From Souda Bay and Chania, across Kalyves Bay to the White Mountains. Unfortunately, the fortress is only open from 5 p.m.
